Internet poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the other players receive five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum on par with the initial wager. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up money equal to your bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs

  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
